Introductions!
(Hold all applause till the end please!)

See this man?
He is my best friend, husband and besides my Lord God he knows me better than I know my self, (at times that is not always a good thing, but he does.) And for the sake of keeping the paparazzi out of our little town, I will call him “Sloan”. This isn’t just a name I grabbed from the air; it was given to him by a dear gentleman that lived in our valley since I was a little girl, his name was Juel and when I brought Sloan home to meet my family and friends, Juel called him Sloan. Juel passed away over 20 years ago. He ran a small cafĂ© here in our town and besides the best burgers in town, he also sold candy, pop, and a few groceries along with operating the town weigh scales for cattle tucks, hay trucks and a frequent 4-H steer.
Sloan is the most amazing man I know, and with friends and some family telling him how to do things he has built an addition on our house by himself and by the grace of God has passed his inspections. From digging the footings by hand to framing, roofing, siding, windows, stucco, rock, electrical, plumbing and everything in between he has done it all.
I am so proud of him. I am truly blessed.

"Our Home"

"A work in progress" This is our oldest daughter Sami Jo (from Idaho, he he)
She is married to this guy, Ben, We call him Uncle Ben.

Ben and Sami have one son, Paul, he is two, call Him Mr. Brown Eyes (He got those from me!)

He always looks at us as if to say "What are you thinking, or Why did you say that? or my favorite, If only you were as smart as me."
In November we all will welcome this little feller…..

His mom and dad have a special name for him but will not share it until he is born.

Oh, yes, another part of their family is this little lady….. Daphnie
Please pay attention there will be a test later.
They too live in Idaho, but are not close enough to see very often. So Mr. Brown Eyes and Mimi, (that’s me) visit on the phone. He is so smart and I am sure will be a psychiatrist someday. We miss our daughter and her husband, but we are so very proud of them.

This is our middle daughter Jodi Dawn (are you like'n my girls’ names?)
She is married to this guy Brian, most of us call him Bubba, for the simple reason that he was the first boy to come into our family, besides their dad, and is like a brother to Jodi’s sisters.

Jodi and Brian have one daughter Bailey, who is four, she is precious, (just like her mimi) and she looks a lot like her mommy did when she was little. And we love to visit on the phone as well. We love to laugh and sing songs.
This little rascal is Birch, who is two years old also, and he operates on full throttle 24/7. Jodi has to be on her toes all the time, because you never know what these two will get in to.
Jodi and Brian moved to Washington a year and a half ago and it is tough on Sloan and me. But we know that they are in God’s hands and they belong to him.

This is our youngest daughter Casi Jean
(I bet you didn’t think I could come up with another one did you?) Casi Jean is the mommy to this precious little girl Miss Macarti Rae, who also is two,
(do you see a pattern in the ages of the girls’ babies? each daughter had a baby in 2007 3 months apart)

Casi Jean and Macarti live right down the road from us. We are thankful that the Lord has allowed us to be a big part of their lives. He is working in their lives everyday.
Casi is (just recently) a single mother and a hard worker. Her daughter is very much loved. Macarti has her papa completely under control. (Something that I have been trying to do for years.) She is a very smart little girl and is not afraid to tell you so.
Now you have met our family, I hope you have it all down as to who belongs to who and lives where. Sloan and I praise the Lord for our family and I hope you will enjoy getting to know all of them in future posts.

Till next time, God Bless!
