Time Goes By...............

So much time has passed since my last post, not that you wait in anticipation for each update in my life, but it is just that I really like to keep things up when I have made a decision to do it. I would rather not do something at all if I can't do it right.

Our oldest daughter, Sami, and her family were here for the past week or so, the house has been full of noise and play from two - two year olds, yeah that's right two of them!
Sami's son, Paul and our youngest daughter, Casi's daugther, Macarti. These two are continual entertainment.

Macarti loves her new Kitchen and I am afraid I have gained more weight from all her cooking.....to many take outs I am sure.

Paul and "BUZZ" are inseparable.....unless you put on a movie and then you have lost him.

And the ever so seldom squeaking and grunting of our daughter's 5 week old William, aka Bill. He is so precious and is such a good baby. This picture of him on Christmas Day asleep but still smiling is just the way he rolls.

So now the company has pulled out of the drive way.......Our daugther, her husband, their two little boys and two cats...............TWO CATS?!?!??! what the heck? So 1/2 hour into their drive they started to hear a strange noise........meow, meow? Our daughter called and asked if our two kittens were still in the garage. I couldn't find them anywhere.
Yup they stoll away while the car was getting loaded inside the garage. Our youngest daughter, Casi, was in town and met them, they had to unload the car to get to kittens and when they uncovered them, one blew out of the car like it was shot from a gun......the kids reloaded the car and got on their way and Casi returned home with one pretty scared little kitten.
This is a typical event in our ever eventful lives.

The day after our company left, we got enough snow to run the sled on and Macarti loved it. Never before have I seen it take two horses, two dogs, a Papa and a mama to pull one little girl up and down the lane, but they all acted as if the production would have been canceled if one would not have been unable to make the trip.

Gypsy, clearing the way.......

Only one wreck, Macarti was looking back at her Mimi and tipped the sled over, but just a few adjustments and they were back on the road again, as you can see Tilly walked beside Macarti all the way, but Gypsy had to lead.

Splash and Pistol were sure they were being neglected...

Our middle daughter Jodi, and her family are going to be here this coming weekend. I am so very thankful for the way the God brings things together for us. I had been trying to be strong about them not being able to come home for Christmas, and God being the awesome God that he is......gave me the desire of my heart. I am so thankful that He loves me the way He does, and forgives me of my ever sin.

I hope to have more pictures and updates on the happenings in our lives.

Till Next Time, God Bless

Master Bath-olicious

(not a real word Sam)

The way the master bath came together is far better than I thought. (Another Praise Jesus!)

I found the vanity on Lowe's on line clearance and thought it would work just fine. The tile was one of those, Help Me Jesus! and then the next thing I know we are over at my friends house to see their new tile and wow, I fell in love with it. She gave a square of their left over and I put it with the hard wood floors, it looked great, with the new paint on the walls, even better, the carpet...awesome, the vanity in the master bath? well, I just thought it will be ok. But I love the look of the tile and the "espresso" colored vanity, sharp and crisp. The rope baskets and bowls, I have been collecting for years, our middle daughter's wedding center pieces were rope baskets, made by two of my friends. I also had my friends make vases, bowls and lamps to use as accent pieces. We used atleast 50 of Todd's old head and heel ropes and old ropes from friends in order to get everything made. I loved doing that wedding.

Todd is installing the fixture and grouting today and that will almost complete this bath. We are presently saving for a shower door. They are pretty spendy. But everything is.

I am still like a little kid at Christmas. I still can't believe we have such a nice house. I am so very thankful.

This is Macarti's favorite tube, as you can see no one takes a bath without a full audience of tub toys. Boy if they could talk......:)

I have been purchasing towel sets for the new baths, I chose deep red and palomino. (ok, tan, but doesn't palomino sound better?)

Oh! CHRISTMAS TREE!

Christmas is my most favoritest holiday, hands down. I love to decorate. This year is special with the new house. Even though we are missing tim here and there I love our home. Thank you Jesus for each and every part of it. Todd has done a great job on it. He is working today on finishing up tile and tomorrow gouting.

I love decoating for Christmas and I have had decorations stored away for this Christmas for a long time. I found the pheasant feather balls in a store called Porter's, (I can go crazy in Porters). Porter's has everything, I mean it.
Today our youngest daughter helped me put up the lights and hang all the decoations. She is a good little helper.

I bought the balls this past spring and instead of 10 dollars each they were 2.50, which is still alot but I could not resist. I had been looking for them on line for years and couldn't find them for less than $15.00. The chocolate colored and gold balls I got at, where else, Walmart! The ribbons sort of ties it all together.
Oh and I'm using one of mine hides as a tree skirt.

I love it. You can see the decoations better in the close up pictures. I hope you are enjoying your tree as much as I am mine.
I have been thinking of decorating the banister since we started the house, and Todd and my's special engineered hand rail works perfect for weaving the garland and lights through. I am still pondering as to what else I will be adding to the garland, something special for the babies to look at, you can count on that.
What ever you are doing to get ready for Christmas, do not for get the main reason for it, is to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior and soon coming King, Jesus Christ.

"Family Room Siterie"

I found this couch and chair about 9 months ago in a furniture store near buy. It was what I had been asking God for, for a while. The store was having a pretty good sale and the salesperson happens to be a pretty good friend. So I have been making payments on it for 8 months and finally this past weekend my mom and I made the trip to town in, once again, the pick up and trailer. Todd cleaned the trailer out real well and I had the muscle men set the furniture on the tarp and then while I finished the paper work, my mom wrapped it like a baby in a blanket.
About three years ago I found the "buckin horse" pillows in the Rod's catalog for about a 1o.oo and I have been hearding that box around over the years. You will be amazed at what I have stashed away that is about to make its debut . I have always wanted to use that word.
I am really excited for the next year or so, when I will be able to get into my storage stash and get some other neat things that I have been collecting for the past 5-1o years. You will just to have to keep coming back to be sure and not miss anything. :)

I am so excited to have our daughters and their families all here.

Someday soon.
Till Next Time God Bless

Black Mustang Stallion

Finally got all three of the set found the first one I found in Washington in a little nick-nack drug store. I had seen them before on the Internet like on art.com and other places but not framed.
The second one I found in a tack store my friend took me to in Boise, Idaho. Tack and ranch stores are by far my favorites. And the third one I found on the web address on the back on the first two. When I emailed them they said they mostly just had representatives that sell to business, but she did not have a rep. near my home town. The pictures are all the same size, with the same frame. The horse is a mustang from around the Denver area, the photographer is a guy by the name of Claude Steelman.
I really do like them. My cousin says "for goodness sakes, comb out that horse's mane, I shutter to think what his tail looks like." I love my cousin Bob.
Todd and I decided to hang them in the upstairs hall so that everyone can enjoy. I was happy to have them for when my kids and grandbabies are home.
They are just right for the wall and the can lights are lined up over each one. Not because we planned it that way, just another "PraiseGod." Like the so many before
Just wanted to share. Let me know what you think.
Till next time, God Bless

Introducing William Voss

William was born November 3rd, 7:30 a.m., by c-section, weighing 8 lbs, 14 oz's, 22 3/4 long, as beautiful as his cousins before him. We always pray for good, healthy babies and God always answers and adds beautiful skin, hair and awesome personalities as an extra, Just cause He can. We are so blessed and we are careful to give Him the praise. Our daughter Sami is doing so good, I cannot believe how much better the c-section cuts are compared to when I had our three daughters. Sami is up and going, Slowly, but she is looking so good and I am thankful. One of the things I struggled with when I had my babies was having to have someone besides me take care of my baby. My mom is by far one of the best baby-taker-carers and I was so blessed to be able to stay at my folk's house for the first week, but I always got down for not being able to care for my baby. I know that that is very important and I try not to just do it all for the girls when their babies come. They may start to think that I am not much help, but I do have a reason for it. The girls nurse their babies which is another really good thing. William got right to it, which is such a blessing. The nurses at the hospital were fantastic. One nurse in the delivery recovery was born and raised near our town and went to school with my brother and me. It was good to see her and she took great care of Sami and William. The nurses on the floor were awesome as well, one nurse, was one Sami had when Paul was born. She is great to be around. Sami's husband stayed with her and the baby during the day and I spent the nights there. Not that I am much help, but I am a good cheerleader and I can put a baby to sleep like none other. My grandchildren are precious in my sight. William got cold in the room so I rolled him up in my down comforter and he purrrrrred like a kitten. I mean, who wouldn't want to be in this little nest? DUH! The nurses and Doctor got a kick out of it. We are now home and will try to get back into the swing of work this coming week. I already miss William and Paul and am planning another trip as soon as I can. Crazy Mimi!

He Made It Easy

We have this really awesome front entry, that Todd made for me.
I love the way the light shines on the archway from the window and the class door. As soon as Todd put the arch up I knew that it needed a special verse to go above it. Something that would just say it all, and even thought I love every part of God's word I had asked the Lord to just show us what He wanted there, something that would just say it all! You know what I mean?

I promised not to get into a hurry and grab one of my favorites but to just wait for him to show us, well sure enough, just as God is God and we are not, he brought it to me through my awesome husband. Todd loves the Lord with all his Heart, Soul and Mind, that is for sure and for certain and through the past month our Church family has been broken and crushed because of selfishness, hate and bitterness, (as you can read in my last post), but through it all Todd and I have stood firm on the word of God. Todd has made it clear that His house will not waiver from what is right in God's eyes. We are saddened to see what has come about, but we must Trust God that he is at work, we must Trust God that He has a plan and we must Trust God that He will handled it. Todd and I have spend many sleepless nights praying and encouraging each other, that no matter what others do as for Him and His house, we shall serve the Lord.

But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD!

Tile cont.......

"Tiled"

Todd tiled the office floor and it looks so good. We will get the computer put in but not hooked up so the posts may be set aside for awhile.

Tile, Tile, Tile everywhere!!!!
My husband and I have officially declared this day to be the last tile day, in this house.

Our appraisal is Monday and we have to have all the tile layed and grouted today! If you have ever layed tile you know that it is so time consuming. I had the horse tiles and the tiles around it up, then a good guy by the name of Mac, who did all the drywalling and taping and texturing of this house, came out and put on the rest of the tile in the tube cove and it was 6 hours!

I am so very excited for this all to be done, my husband is looking pretty ragged.
Please continue to lift us up in prayer, we sure do appreciate it.

Till Next Time, God Bless

It's about Time

It's Time!

I have been gathering and storing things for my house, like a squirrel getting ready for winter. This clock I bought at least
7 months ago and finally I get to get it out of the box.
Finally, it was "TIME" to hang the clock!
I think it was well worth the wait.
*************************************************************************************

Next, my husband and I put up this really awesome railing that I have been holding in my mind for about a year, yeah its pretty crowded in there. We fastened furniture feet buns to a 1x6 and then reinforced it with screws. Then we screw the 3/4 round to the buns and counter sunk the screws. I wanted the lifted look so that I could wrap my garland around the rail for the holidays. I love to decorate for the holidays.
Go ahead, tell me what you think.

Tonight we are working on the back entry wall, hanging bead board.

"Amazing Grace "
by Chris Tomlin
If you haven't heard this song on the radio you are missing out. The great Hymn
that has never spoke so much to me as it has the last month.
I have never doubted the love my Savior has for me, and I never will.
But some trials that are blowing through our Church and Church family
like the stench of a rotting carcass, make me wonder how, if there is nothing I can do that is so bad that my Abba Father would ever forsake me, then why can we not show the same forgiveness to our brothers and sisters in Christ. How can a believer who has been shown mercy not in return show it to others? The answer? Sin in the form of selfishness. The stinking rotten "It's all about me" disease. It will consume you and can only end in death.
I am crushed to the point of not being able to breathe with the hate and bitterness that is in and around my family and friends. It grieves me to think that each thinks they are in the right when in fact it is so far from God's Word that I can't recognize it. What has become of these people I love so much, were they just merely existing, pretending to love each other, to have forgiven as they were? No its there, it has always been there and now like a cancer that has been in remission, it is back and it is back with a vengeance, But there is hope, and I know that we can.....
consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2-4
and then
Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
James 1:12
And even though it may cause me to grieve so badly that I cannot breathe, My Lord...... My God......... My Savior......... He is the one in control and no matter how bad it gets, this child will stand, on the word.
The words of this song give me strength and I praise the Lord each time I hear it.
Amazing grace How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God,
Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

"Name that Movie"
(part 3)

"I'm looking at a drunk with a tin star pinned to it"
READY SET GO!
no cheating Mrs. Brown

I See The Lights!!!!

I love our Lights!
My mother and I had to go to town yesterday, I know big surprise. ha ha!
And when we got back Todd had the rest of the outdoor lights up. I just love them.
I love this whole house, it has so much character and it always seems to say welcome home.
The purpose of this house was for our daughters to be able to come home with their families and be able to stay at the house instead of going to grandma's house, now grandma's house is fun, but there really is something to the saying "There's no place like Home". I think when the girls pull down that long drive way they knew so well when they were young, and they see the lights on, this old/new house it will be saying to them welcome home, I've missed you.
I praise the Lord several times a day for the past 4 years, so much growing, trusting, and believing has been done, in His way, in His time.
I know when we see Heaven's gates it will be like it is saying "You are home".

More to come!......................

Name That Movie!

When the girls were little and even today when we travel we play this game we made up called "Name that movie". The girls were raised on John Wayne, The good Walt Disney's and the classics. When you live 75 miles from town you watch alot of movies. We have most all of John Waynes and the Disney's. Good Clean Movies. To this day, when we are together or even talking on the phone one or the other of us will say something from some movie we have watched a hundred times over.
So about two nights ago I was thinking of my next post and thought I'll just download a bunch of John Wayne's pictures from movies and then play "Name that movie".

Ok, this is the deal, I give you a Picture from one of John Wayne's movies and a couple lines from it and you tell me the name of the movie. Ready?

"Name that Movie"

(part 1) In This early John Wayne movie, which is one of only two that John Wayne had a dog, John Wayne said: "You baked today, I can smell fresh bread on ya, and on top of that, you smell all over like a woman, all rich and warm and soft.......I could find you in the dark Mrs. Lowe"

GO!
For the guest who has the most correct answers at the end of the month, I am going to send you a John Wayne Movie.
