"What a week"

This past week has been a trial. So many things have come up and we have had to just stand on the Promise that God is in control and He is bigger than all this. Last week, Cider, Todd's heeling horse came up lame. She had been stepping short on her front right since we had her re-set about 3 weeks ago and we have been watching her. Todd usually does all our shoeing but we just was so busy we had to have her to get re-set. The guy that we got has done shoeing for some really good friends of ours Terrell and Jill, who break and train horses for a living, and I had grew up high school rodeoing with him as a kid so I thought we were ok with him.
Not that this is his fault cause Cider is and always has been a little crooked in the front and Todd has always shod her to her natural shape and angles but I think Mr. Goody tried to fix her crookedness and it has just about crippled her. She has a small splint on her front left and on her right front we, meaning the vet and us, are still baffled as to what is going on. She is tender all over her right hoof but no sign of abscess or anything we are soaking her daily in Epsom salts and hot water to try and draw what ever the problem is out. We are also soaking the splint in cold water while trying to keep her on Bute for the pain. It is pretty heartbreaking to have her hurting.

We are also working hard to get ready for an inspection and then an appraisal on the house.
Soon, someday soon we will be done. Till then we just keep on trusting God for each moment.

Till next time, God Bless
